Hello Friends

How are you doing? I hope well. I wish you all a very happy new year, very happy Makar Sankranti. In this blog I have documented some memories and experience of my Bhuleshwar, Goa, Auto Expo trips / visit. I hope you guys will have a good time reading the same.

Bhuleshwar trip

As I have already shown interest in joining Bhuleshwar trip in the last blog I am proud to tell you that we (PTCians including Umesh Pravin Atul Parag ) completed a very adventurous and tiring trip to Bhuleshwar. Bhuleshwar is off Pune-Solapur Highway (near Yawat) around 35 kms from Magarpatta,

Bhuleshwar Temple details can be view from following links
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhuleshwar_temple)

That day i.e. 25th Dec 2007 I had about 100 kms of cycling, the day started at 5:30 am with shower and dressing and ending with a shower at 6:45pm. I never felt so tired in my life as on last Christmas night. May be that was the present Santa had for me for Xmas. When Ashutosh Pandey called me to have a short fun time pass get together that night I refused as I was not in the position to even ride a motorbike after long trip. “Sorry friend some other time” was all that I can say.

Year End trip to Goa

Shakespeare said: Goa is a land of “infinite variety” whose charm “age cannot wither, nor custom stale”. Goa has a great charm for tourist of all ages whatever be their taste. To but it in other words if the sand, sun and sea are not your cup of tea then go party or dig art and culture, trust Goa to cater to your every taste. Some of the major entertainments are mentioned below

Bird-watching Bungee jumping Casinos Crocodile Watch River Cruise Discotheques Go-karting Kala Academy Water Sports Night-clubs Bars and pubs Cinemas

A word of caution: Never Visit Goa with limited cash and year end.
Although Goa is one of smallest states in India's map, with a territory of 3,702 sq km is cradled in the Sahayadri range in the Western Ghats, you end up paying a lot in travel and accommodation during peak season like Dec End.

Don’t miss the following
Drinks Cashew Feeni
Food Sea Food, Cashew Nuts
Sports Water Sports and Voleyball
Night Clubs, Pubs and Bar
Beaches : Anjuna, Calangute and Baga
Konkani Folk Songs, Portuguese Dance and Music
River Cruise
A unique blend of European Style Central Squares and Indian Bazaars
Portuguese Churches, Fort and Hindu Temples
Having been ruled by the colonial Portuguese for over 450yrs, there is still a distinctive European flavor that has permeated all aspects of Goa's life including its food, religion, language, festivals, dances and names.Apart from the increasing strength of Indian tourists from outside Goa, a large number of western tourists also arrive using the direct-chartered flights to Goa. Goa is best known for its spectacular beaches, but there are many old churches, monuments, temples and museums, that are a must see.Guess whom I met at Goa? Ekta Masand, my school classmate after almost 9 odd years. Lucky I recognized her almost instantly after she asked me to join her for some drinks and say hello to her group.

Auto Expo Visit

I have a great passion for automobile and aerospace industry. I simple love to see the future development in this industry. Where can one in India see most happening events and future technology and development better than Auto Expo. I hence decided to go for 9th Auto Expo scheduled from 10th Jan 2008 to 17th Jan 2008, showcasing world best automotive and automotive component exhibition.

After online registration and booking my tickets from http://www.autoexpo.in/ and http://www.irctc.co.in/ respectively I applied for a three days leave application to my manager Prashant Bhosale and the leave was granted. Thanks. My papaji was against my visit as he said world could be better seen from TV than anyother place. May be but I wanted to be a live part of Indian Auto Show Why ? India is the second largest two-wheeler market in the world. Fourth largest commercial vehicle market in the world. 11th largest passenger car market in the world apart from leaders in Robust production and manufacturing Indian Automotive Industry has come up a long journey.

The biggest attraction of the Automobile Show was Ratan Tata’s owned Tata Motors: World Cheapest Car which Tata unveiled as NANO on 10th Jan 2008. Although Tata’s have not reviled the full specification of Nano, Nano is simply a great product considering that it is the first car in the world which has met all emission and safety norms, has a capacity of 4 to 5 person, at a great affordable dealer price of Rs100,000 only.

Mumbai Marathon.

Can you dare to ride Bike from Pune to Mumbai at chilling winter ? I did !! I reached Mumbai Thane from Kalyani Nagar Pune i.e. about 170 kms in about 4 hours on 18th Jan, Friday evening! I met Ashutosh Patak, my school friend in Thane after a long time then and We had a good party time (drinks and snacks) along the frames of Chakde and Bombay to Goa movie.

The next day morning after watching “ Bombay to Bangkok” with Ashutosh’s flat mate at Thane I visited Aroras family. Mr. Rajesh H Arora is my aunt son who have settled with his family and two cute kids in Mumbai. We went to mall in the evening and had a good home food.
On Sunday the 20th Jan, I successfully completed my Dream Run 6kms at Mumbai Marathon in little over 36 minutes. Cheers to good life and health. I started and finished in front of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Railway Terminus, an elaborate construction in Victorian Gothic style and a World Heritage site.

About 35,000 runners, including 40 of the world’s 100 top athletes, participated in the fifth Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, on Sunday. Now digest this !! Last year, the marathon raised almost Rs 80 million for various charities involving 150 NGOs. This year, the organisers raised almost Rs 100 million. The Mumbai Marathon, which is the richest marathon in Asia and also features among the top ten marathons in the world, has emerged as the single largest charity event in India.

Mumbai runs for a cause with a dash of glamour. I lucky had a glimpse of John Bipasha Arshd Warsi Milind Soman. On my way back from CST to Thane I met an experienced fellow who is working in Mahindra and Mahindra for past 25 years. We had a good discussion about profile, company, work content, new developments in Auto Industry etc. I was really glad to know that this particular chap knows great deals about my product and my company, and why would he not after all his team has used CADDS5 for about 5 years.

I have so much to write but due to some work load and eye care limitation, I am now deciding to stop this blog here. I will keep you posted. I guess this is my largest post ever in my blog page. I hope you had a good time reading it, Cheer ! Smile a lot , it cost nothing.
