I started reading the (FPS) today morning. For Science student this FPS acronym sounds familiar right?? No no no FPS not equal to Foot Pound Second its Five Point Someone. Reading the Five points someone by Chetan Bhagat is great fun or rather I should say a must read for pure fun. As usual some boring classes were held today, but who cares for lecture and more, when you have FPS in hand. I am telling you once you start reading the book you cannot stop doing that unless there is some emergency. Why is it so? Because its the humourous funny sacastic style of a IIT IIM graduate that make your ass sit and read.

Aditya Bajaj promised me that he would write some of his experience of IIMs IITs IIFT MDI etc calls for me. Thanks Aditya.

I also got my NCC 26th Jan, 2005 photo from the Photo In today for keeping as a record that I was a NCC cadet in MNNIT for 3 years.

Vijay, one of my wing mates offered me a treat tonight at MTB, which I accepted, as there was oily poodi paneer in the mess tonight. I had a great treat with about a half a dozen round of Vodka and Bakardi. Overall the day was fine.

Its April 1 day after tomorrow and I am thinking of some good mischief for APRIL FOOL DAY (By the way some places its called ALL FOOL DAY).

My Wing Mates (Room no. 13 to Room no. 24)

Room no. 13
Sushil Sutthar, our wing mates call him naughty. A nice cool person with nice cool mischief and nice cool smile. His fanda of life stay cool, do not fight or struggle to much, relax and let the life go as it is going. Please do check his website http://www.suthar.tk/ for more information about him.

Room no. 14
Sameer Midda, all friends call him midda is the only perfect Bhangra dancer in the college. Nice friendly chap, down to earth, always eager to help others. I cannot recollect him taking a bath ever. He has number of girl friends to talk with due to which I envy him.

Room no. 15
Puneet, the last trio of the panjabi’s in the wing with Sushil and Sameer being other. Puneet is calm, a bit lazy, simple and clear at heart person, who always welcome you to narrate your fandas and debate in favor or against of yours just to pull legs. He is very happy to be in computer science as he knows he cannot have a better life relaxing all the time in any other branch @ MNNIT.

Room no. 16
Achal, I call him Mr. IAS officer because of his seriousness about the civil service examination (Although he is serious only on Saturdays and Sundays). I envy him because of his great collection of GK GS History Economics Geography books. He has not repaired his mobile phone for last couple of months, so I have to attend his home calls for which he is always thankful to me. Overall a nice chap.

Room no. 17
Rajesh, the 440V (Electrical Student) in our wing. He spends most of the time in sleeping, watching movie and playing AOE in the room. He talks less and only necessary important things. He opens his room only when he knows who is out his door when he is playing AOE.

Room no 18
M Vijay Kumar, I call him mote. Vijay is a real stud of mechanical branch. He is friendly to almost all. He knows exactly when to study, how much to study and where to study from to maximize his output with minimum input. He is fond of playing cricket and a real maniac for cricket. His favorite player is Brian Lara. He spends most of his time away from his room in roaming, playing cards and gossiping. When ever he is in his room and class test or end semester are away he reads novel, I must say he is voracious fiction and classic reader. He can read your state of mind, your body language and can even predict some unobvious results.

Room no. 19
Anand lal Kotapalli, some of the friends call him kotta, but I call him L* Lal. Anand is tallest and thinnest dude in the wing. He can not go to toilet without a citrate in his mouth. He put least efforts in studies and maximum efforts in him masti. Anand rocks and make you rock to at his high dB speaker volume. He mostly comes to my room asking for a matchstick and broom. The first one to light a smoke and second one to clean the room after the smoke.

Room no. 20
Sharad Prakash Verma, the civil topper, I call him psycho sometimes. He is good at heart although he irritates me most of the time by asking for money and something to eat at my room. He always welcomes me at his room to discuss some or the other things. This is only one I know who always wanted to apply his civil engineering fundamentals practically. His ultimate aim is to be an IES or IAS officer. His approach to gals is quite similar to mine. That’s do not waste even a penny no gals. A hard working and a sincere student who is doing some high fi level civil engineering project. All the best Sharad.

Room no 21
It’s my room. Well I am wing perfect of my wing. Nothing that important. I am inviting others to comment on this. Please wing mates you are welcome to write anything unconcerned.

Room no. 22
Sunil, another 440V (Electrical Student). Unlike his branch 440 V. He is always calmed polite and caring. He is so polite that he ask for every small thing which is obvious and clear (just in case he does not want to hurt anyone any how). He is only native of Allahabad in my wing. I have never seen him shouting or involving in tussle.

Room no. 23
Ch. A Suresh Kumar, a mechie really fandu. He never to aggressive and always friendly to all. He is the most approachable person in the wing for every problem or anything. Suresh never expect anything from others and always extend a helpful hand to others. He is one of the mechie who stay coolest and produce good result. He has cleared IIT JEE IIIT A IIIT H and various exams. He is more like a mentor for me during exams during difficulties.

Room no. 24
Anupam Verma, the mess manager of or mess is IT chap who spends most of his time in listening & singing songs, chatting with friends at yahoo (now gaim). He believes in last minute preparation. He soaks his clothes for days long and do not care to wash them as soon as possible. His room smells like shit some times. He uses a P1 Intel Pentium computer in the era of Intel P4 HT. Over all a nice do not care type chap.

So my prediction about the India vs. Pak test match was right, India finally did it. India won the first ever test match at Kolkata. Cheers to all Bengali’s. By the way I want to tell you something more. When I reached home mom seemed sounded sad and a bit worried after checking my bags. Well Why? Because the bag was full of all the dirty clothes which I have stocked for last one month. I guess I have told you that I hate washing cloths.

Today I also turned some pages of the “Indian Business Year Book 2005” and read about the basics of Economics. Anyways good news is my sister bagged some prizes and certificate at her annual “Cultural Festival Utkarsh”. That’s good news, isn’t it!! I also updated my yahoo profile today. Hey guess what my favorite movie was on the HBO channel today evening “The silence of the lambs”. I am also willing to read this novel. So if anyone among you have or can arrange me the novel I will be thankful to you. I called Ashutosh Pathak for a walk after dinner at night which he refused as he wish to go for a walk with her sister. No problem dude, and thanks for the user and password for the dialup connection. I am tired now I am going for a sleep. Good night blogger.

Today I finished reading the short story "The Alchemist" written by Paluo Cohelo. It was fun reading it in the initial pages but the middle ones were quite slow and boring, the ending as a bit unexpected was just fine. It as must read for those who fell that there life is meaning less and are living in this world without any aim. "The Alchemist" - A magical feeble about following your dreams can be placed as one of the best motivational story I have ever read. The lunch at Maikhana the bar was just fine too. Finally as I have to board my train for Gwalior today at about 6 pm, I had relaxed in my room reading movies reviews, checking India vs. Pak Second test at Kolkata and writing mail to friends. India stands a fair chance to win this test match making this match the first match to win against Pak at Kolkata. The day just went fine.

While I was resting in my train during journey my junior Rahul handed over me one of the bestseller India book by Arindham Chaudhary known as CYCBTH i.e. Count Your Chicken before they hatch. I was always eager to read this book and here it was at the right time at the right place in my hand. Till I reached home the other morning I have finished reading the introduction, the first and the second paragraph of the book. The way of narration citing perfect example at the prefect place is really worth praising. Really another great book. The first chapter best description was the ASK principle. Do read ASK principle (It says Attitude is more and most important than Skill and knowledge. The principle is the revised version of "Inspiration is more important than Knowledge" By Albert Einstein) can change your life!!

I was unwilling to go to home during first break and I am very much excited this time. So what am going to do this break in mercury rising summer @ Gwalior? I have planned many things lets see which plans materialize.

Well I just thought to compare the three Bajaj's who has influenced me (the fourth Bajaj) the most. To start with here is the difference “RAHUL BAJAJ Madan Mohan BAJAJ Aditya Kumar Bajaj himanshu bajaj ”

RAHUL BAJAJ
Mr. Bajaj is recognised as one of the most successful business leaders of India. He heads the Bajaj Group of Companies and is the Chairman and Managing Director of the group's flagship, Bajaj Auto Limited. Bajaj Auto is India's premier 2 and 3-wheeler company and the fourth largest in the world. The Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Rahul Bajaj, 66, on Friday March 4 said that he would like to step down as managing director of the company and make way for his sons to take hands-on control. He will, however, continue as the Chairman. Under the guidance of Rahul Bajaj, the company has remained less aggressive in its approach and idled away its cash reserves without proactively deploying them in R&D, new models, takeovers or other risky ventures. Guess what I will be joining the Bajaj Auto limited as a GTE @ Pune on 1st July 2005, let see what Bajaj has for Bajaj in his company.

Madan Mohan BAJAJ
My father or Shri Madan Mohan Bajaj is the one whom I respect the most in this real world. He is man of extreme knowledge, caring and truth. He has deep roots in Maths, Physics, Economics, Politics, Finance and English. He knows when why where how of many things in this world. He is fond of visiting places and he had been to almost all the pilgrimage and hill station in India known to me. He is the real hero of my life with whom I have interacted the most.

Aditya Kumar Bajaj
Aditya Kumar Bajaj or Aditya was my wing mate in third year. He is clear from his heart, he never hide anything about anyone, what ever he has in his mind, he speaks up. I still remember he used to call me "down loader" for the reason of my movie download collection. We used to play ground table tennis in our wing in which I had a better strike rate. We have shared and watched many movies together. These days he is busy preparing for his IIMs IIFT MDI and IITs calls for MBA.I wish him all the best.

himanshu bajaj
Hmm.. What to talk about myself? I am what I am and I am proud to be a Bajaj.

I had just been back after taking an exam @ Banaras.Banaras or Varanasi, also known as Kashi, is one of the world's oldest learning and cultural centers with lots of temples .

5th March

I arrived at Banaras at about 11 am @ 5th March with my friend Sharad who is a native of Banaras. After staying at his home for about an hour and taking lunch, we marched to Gate of Banaras Hindu University which is at Lanka in Varanasi. In short we visited Vishwanath Temple @ BHU, Tulsimanas Mandir, Durga Mandir, Bal Hanumanji Mandir, Ganesh Mandir and lots of relatives of Sharad in city. Our plan to visit Saranath was abandoned due to some voilent activity in the city. Hey I forget to tell you something I dig a big hole in my pocket during the day Well wanna know how? Hmm I purchased the most expensive sports pair from Bata Showroom. I entered the showroom thinking that I will get a good deal in the maximum of 70% Sale but finally landed with the non sale expensive one. And yaa adding to that I purchased three famous books from the Universal Book house near Lanka. The books names are " The Alchemist ( http://www.santjordi-asociados.com/alchemist.htm), Five point some (http://www.fivepointsomeone.com) and the One minute manager " That’s all what I did on 5th.

6th March
The NTPC Exam for post of Executive Trainee was satisfactory better then expected but yet not up to the mark. But Who cares !! After the test I asked Sharad to lets move to the Taj Ganges (http://www.tajhotels.com/Leisure/Taj%20Ganges%2CVARANASI/default.htm), which he agreed. We had a great time out there in chowk (the international cafe) during lunch. Believe it or not we are the only one in the resturant who were Indians when we entered the Chowk after which a couple of family joined in after we started having our lunch.I would like to tell you one small incident that happened there, I ordered " Pav Bhaaji " ( The Mumbaiya Favorite ) and after finishing one of my pav I ordered the waiter to bring in another Pav but when he reached back to our table he was with full Pav Bhaaji. Then I refused to take that order and I ask to call the incharge of the hotel. A big south Indian with a smiling face checks in and said no problem sir you can take Pav only though we do not serve only the pav and your order has been done... But when I reached to the cash counter to pay the bill, it accounted for 2 Pav bhaaji instead of 1 pav bhaaji and 1 extra pav, which I was expecting. I called Mr Joy (ya the head in charge) and he told the casier to cancel the second pav bhaaji from the bill and admitted that I was his mistake. Thank god, he just saved my Rs 120 + 8 % Sales tax. I will always remember Mr T K Joy the cheif incharge of the Chowk for his generous behaviour. Finally after having our lunch and packing out bags we headed to Banaras Bus station. When I reached here in the hostel it was about 9 pm and there was celbration parties going on for 22 students selected in Hughes Software solution. I had had great fun at Banaras.

Hi friends, if you are a MNNITian you must be having a great time in Culrav ("Let the rhythm begin") and if you are in the final year of your MNNIT journey you must be having an excellent time at Culrav.

And if you are not let me take a pleasure to introduce what Culrav is

Culrav, the expression of nature through its realm of sensitivities. The chirping of birds, the morning calm, the soothing rays of sun, all come with the dawn as a source of inspiration for art. It effuses out in various forms such as dance, music, painting etc. exhibiting the diverse fabric of nature. With cultures and civilizations it gets enriched and so does its expressiveness.
We at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology sing ode to art on the land of famous confluence, beside the serene Ganges and celebrate the spirit in unison at CULRAV 2k5

My first day at Culrav just went very fine The Dance Competition “Unleashing potentials “ Western Dance was the one I liked the most. This night will log on to the last night to dance for an stretch of couple of hours @ Jukebox.

Well there is lot more in this day to write about.

Budget

Albert Einstein said The hardest thing in the world to understand is income tax.. This (preparing my tax return) is too difficult for a mathematician. It takes a philosopher.
So I just thought lets have a quick glance of Union Budget 2005-06. And see whats it is really. After reading about it from different sources. I came to the conclusion that Einstein was probably right.
But from some of what get into my head ..There are several positives it is difficult to find negatives about the budget.

77th Oscars vs 50th Filmfare

Being a big fan of movies I just thought lets comapare. Well.. Hollywood and Bollywood are just a wrong comparision. Still lets look at the results.

BEST PICTURE
MILLION DOLLAR BABY

Best Film
Veer Zaara

Oops Its time to go for class and I do not want to be late again to Prof. A C A's class.
