I had just been back after taking an exam @ Banaras.Banaras or Varanasi, also known as Kashi, is one of the world's oldest learning and cultural centers with lots of temples .

5th March

I arrived at Banaras at about 11 am @ 5th March with my friend Sharad who is a native of Banaras. After staying at his home for about an hour and taking lunch, we marched to Gate of Banaras Hindu University which is at Lanka in Varanasi. In short we visited Vishwanath Temple @ BHU, Tulsimanas Mandir, Durga Mandir, Bal Hanumanji Mandir, Ganesh Mandir and lots of relatives of Sharad in city. Our plan to visit Saranath was abandoned due to some voilent activity in the city. Hey I forget to tell you something I dig a big hole in my pocket during the day Well wanna know how? Hmm I purchased the most expensive sports pair from Bata Showroom. I entered the showroom thinking that I will get a good deal in the maximum of 70% Sale but finally landed with the non sale expensive one. And yaa adding to that I purchased three famous books from the Universal Book house near Lanka. The books names are " The Alchemist ( http://www.santjordi-asociados.com/alchemist.htm), Five point some (http://www.fivepointsomeone.com) and the One minute manager " That’s all what I did on 5th.

6th March
The NTPC Exam for post of Executive Trainee was satisfactory better then expected but yet not up to the mark. But Who cares !! After the test I asked Sharad to lets move to the Taj Ganges (http://www.tajhotels.com/Leisure/Taj%20Ganges%2CVARANASI/default.htm), which he agreed. We had a great time out there in chowk (the international cafe) during lunch. Believe it or not we are the only one in the resturant who were Indians when we entered the Chowk after which a couple of family joined in after we started having our lunch.I would like to tell you one small incident that happened there, I ordered " Pav Bhaaji " ( The Mumbaiya Favorite ) and after finishing one of my pav I ordered the waiter to bring in another Pav but when he reached back to our table he was with full Pav Bhaaji. Then I refused to take that order and I ask to call the incharge of the hotel. A big south Indian with a smiling face checks in and said no problem sir you can take Pav only though we do not serve only the pav and your order has been done... But when I reached to the cash counter to pay the bill, it accounted for 2 Pav bhaaji instead of 1 pav bhaaji and 1 extra pav, which I was expecting. I called Mr Joy (ya the head in charge) and he told the casier to cancel the second pav bhaaji from the bill and admitted that I was his mistake. Thank god, he just saved my Rs 120 + 8 % Sales tax. I will always remember Mr T K Joy the cheif incharge of the Chowk for his generous behaviour. Finally after having our lunch and packing out bags we headed to Banaras Bus station. When I reached here in the hostel it was about 9 pm and there was celbration parties going on for 22 students selected in Hughes Software solution. I had had great fun at Banaras.
